Genevieve Malandra,
Founder and Chief Publicity Officer

Bas Bleu was founded in June of 2016 by Genevieve L. Malandra. Ms. Malandra holds a BA in Communications from Temple University and a Masters in Business from St Joseph’s University. She is also a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the National Journalism Honors Society. Her experience as an Integrated Marketing Communications professional began almost ten years ago in NYC where she represented numerous celebrity doctors and also independent fashion brands. At that time her clients regularly appeared across media outlets such as The Today Show, New York Magazine and in international newspapers like The Epoch Times.

She left NYC in 2014, and until June 2016, she held the position of Director of Strategic Communication at j2 Communications. While directing all client strategy at j2 she worked on national accounts like Velodyne, Mizco International and CROSS Fine Writing Instruments. Her largest accomplishment was leading the publicity for the relaunch of historic American brand, CROSS Fine Writing Instruments. The marketing and publicity efforts executed by the agency team handling the brand’s reentry into the luxury market, resulted in almost a billion impressions in just 9 months. The list of publications where she garnered placement for their product lines include Vanity Fair, Sports Illustrated, Extra TV with Mario Lopez, Forbes, The Huffington Post, The Robb Report, US Weekly, Sports Illustrated and Esquire Magazine. While working with j2 Communications she also oversaw client activations at high profile events like New York Fashion Week and the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

She has now launched her own personal venture, Bas Bleu PR, serving clients in a variety of lifestyle industries including food, fashion, technology and wellness. Aside from PR, she is passionate about helping organizations which serve children and families. She is also in the process of forming an agency-related charity to support the health of our nation’s families.
